Academics form just one facet of the life at United. We encourage the students to nurture their lives outside classrooms as well. A significant part of the student’s year encompasses coordinating and participating in the abundant cultural activities. We believe that being involved in organising such events imbibes a healthy will of competition and cultivates team spirit.

Events ranging from quizzes, debates, dance, writing, drama, music and literary activities hone an individual and ample platform is provided to showcase their flair. Our foresight is that ’the ultimate persona of a student which emerges out of our college should have equal potency in all the fortes.’

Samvet is the annual festival extravaganza organized here at United. Books and sessionals are forgotten and the campus is transformed into a vibrant carnival. Excitement reaches a fever pitch. Students compete in diverse events like debates, elocutions, rangoli design, skits, antakshri etc. with sheer exhilaration .The crowd pullers of the festival are the high voltage dance shows and choreographies. An elaborate fashion show is always the focal point of the grand finale evening. This fete is organized with the intention of rejuvenating the mind of the students and giving them the well deserved break.

We don’t believe in the theory of 100% classroom oriented studies. Emphasis is repetitively given to diverse methodologies of imparting knowledge, making it more interesting and affable to students. An exposure to interactive sessions and seminars conducted by the stalwarts of the industries and scholastic arena is always a bonus to the holistic maturity of a student. This way, it is determined that the knowledge of the lessons bestowed on the students and the functioning of the industries do not remain mutually exclusive to each other.

United takes pride in the fact that international seminars are regularly conducted on its campus where distinguished professors and lecturers from all over the world are invited to presents their papers and offer their valuable in sights about their sphere of knowledge.

Every year, the United Group of Institutions organizes a Samman Samaroh where teachers and meritorious students from top performing schools of the state are felicitated.

The United Group of Institutions celebrated its Founder’s Day on 13th April 2009 to commemorate the Achievements of its founder Shri Shiv Ram Das Gulati. On this occasion, Mr. Shiv Khera, well known Management Guru and Motivational Speaker delivered a motivational address on “Winners don’t do different things, They do things differently”. The session provided a big boost to the students as they realized that there is no harm in compromising in short term goals to achieve long term objectives.

To exhibit the technical aptitude of our budding engineers, an informative exposition is organized every year. UNITECHFEST was organized in 2006 which was a roaring success and taking the cue ENIGMA ’07 was held last year. Students demonstrate their creations in form of models, designs and experiments. Valuable feedbacks are obtained from the eminent academicians who grace the occasion. This facilitates them to delve into the concepts and theories even further thus grasping the in-depth details about the dynamics of their projects.

United offers plenty of club and societies to polish the specific skills and the interest of the students. The students association encourages the students to stay involved with such clubs to enhance their out-of-the-book knowledge about subjects and impart a sense of confidence when faced with real world challenges. The student association at United offers various such clubs like ’ELECTRUM’ which is the Electrical and Electronics society, the CS & IT society, Mechanical society, HR club and the Finance club. Non academic oriented clubs like SPIC-MACAY and Fine Arts society is also on the verge of introduction.

The chief ingredient of a successful career is often more than mere academic qualification. We, at United have identified that, and hence support the development of communication and interpersonal interactive skills of the students. Programs including group discussion, aptitude tests and technical presentations are held every semester. In addition, mock technical and HR interviews are conducted to keep the students at their superlative form during their placement procedures and subsequent careers.
